A Little About
​Myself

I am a Geographer with a Ph.D. in Geography of Natural Disasters from the Department of Geography, University of the Aegean, Greece, working on wildfire effects and behaviour. I hold a B.Sc. diploma in Geography and a M.Sc. in "Geography and Applied Geo-Informatics", both from the University of the Aegean, Department of Geography.

​During 2016-2018, I lived in the USA, working as a visiting scholar for the International Visitor Program of the US Forest Service, invited by Dr. Alan A. Ager, in collaboration with Portland State University and Oregon State University. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor in the field of “Forest Protection” at the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment Management of the Agricultural University of Athens.

Simulating Large-Scale Wildfires & Community Exposure: A Framework & Application in Macedonia, Greece

We simulated over 300,000 fires​ to estimate community exposure, annual burn probabilities and conditional flame length.
